Edward Webb:
Born on 19 September 1965, qualified as an artisan and working as
an entrepreneur with a burning passion for art,
he became a self-taught artist inspired by the old masters' work
and the colours of modern lifestyle.
He prefers working in oils as a medium that is adaptable and alive as he is.
Looking at a canvas as a possibility,
he creates texture with paint to make it a reality.
Edward is a versatile artist combining old and new styles together.
He sees his paintings as colourful and vibrant as the future,
forever changing,
for changes are good.
Poetry:
He loves to play with words and a number of his poems
have been published by the Poetry Institute of Africa since 1999.
Quoted by Edward:
Born with a natural talent by my Creator to create.
Inspired by His works of brilliance and beauty.
I see my work as sparkly and energetic,
wanting to give you the opportunity
to experience this unrefined
beauty of our country through my eyes,
colourful and elegant as my Creator intended it to be.
Talent Statement:
A natural gift by the Lord.
